SUCCUMB
TO THIS
Relinquish yourself
Surrender
Nowhere to run and hide
I'm deep
Inside
Out
I come
Intense is this moment
Time is still
No words
No sounds
Only silence
Preserving to reinvent
This memory I will need again
As the acceleration eases
And
The pulsating flutter of a racing heartbeat
is no longer echoing at the drum of the ear
I am relieved
I am relaxed
I am ready
Convinced that there is no better pleasure
To yearn is not uncommon
To pretend to be unaffected, unheard of
For it is this temptation that shall make
you succumb once again
And again
and again
and again
and again
and again
