MEET ME AT THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN  

I’ve been waiting for this date all day and the time has finally arrived

Come and sit with me under the tree

Stay awhile, this time together has only just begun

 As we watch the sun escape from view behind the highest peak, the air has taken on a slight chill

You offer a blanket, I accept

In addition, your arm around my shoulder for comfort

I feel safe as we watch the transition from evening to night with the stars and the light of the moon now dancing high in the summer sky  

As the evening progresses, we kiss; we laugh and talk for hours never allowing our eyes to close

Our reward, the dawn of a new day and now a warm kiss from the rising sun

 Breathtaking is the only description for this view  

Heartwarming is the only description for this moment

Unforgettable is the only description for our memories

A night of romance with you

Forever will what has just occurred stay in our hearts
